Hi I'm Sarah-Jane Grace, and I'm an artist, based in the South West. I grew up on the North Norfolk coast and love the coastal areas.   The inspiration for my paintings comes from the natural world, from the Norfolk, Devon and Cornwall coast and how light reflects on the sea to how the waves change the colour and texture of the water, to the miniature world around us, the leaves and trees. I could spend a lot of time just watching the ants or bees!   

My preferred media is acrylics on canvas.  I love the depth and textured effect which it can create along with the smoother finish of water colour paints.  From these original paintings, I have created a range of limited edition Giclee prints. 

I have also been lucky enough to be involved in a number of charity sculpture trails which have included:

• The Year of the Bus
• The Lions of Bath
• Wow! Gorillas 
• The Swans of Wells  

These have been brilliant projects where I have painted large animal sculptures which were displayed on the streets of London, Bath, Bristol, Thornbury and Wells and then auctioned for charity.  I spend many hours working on these sculptures to try to raise as much as possible for the charities and have raised approximately £100k through the sale of these sculptures to be reinvested in the valuable work pf these charitable organisations.
